Armband Overview

SenseWear® Armband Positioning:
The armband is worn on the right tricep.  The small grey button (AKA "Timestamp") is considered the top of the unit.  Slide the armband over the right arm tricep with the unit facing the backside of the arm.  Tighten the strap comfortably so that the armband does not move around.

Turning Unit On and Off:
The unit turns on automatically when it senses contact with your skin.  The unit will vibrate typically within 1 - 2 minutes notifying the wearer that the unit is on.  The tightness of the arm band needs to be sufficient to make good skin contact, which becomes apparent when the unit vibrates, informing the user that the unit is on.  When the unit is taken off, the unit vibrates again indicating that the unit is off.

Cleaning The SenseWear® Armband:
The unit should be periodically cleaned with soap and water.  Rubbing alcohol can also be used.  Do not overly soak the unit.  Dry with a damp towel.

The SenseWear® Armband is not water proof:
Do not swim, shower, or bath with the unit on your arm.  The unit is splash proof but not water proof.

Changing The Battery:
The battery, AAA, is located under the large grey cap.  Remove the cap and insert a new battery.  The typical battery life is two weeks.  The USB cable port is located within the battery compartment.

Checking Battery And Memory Status:
Press the "Timestamp" button (top of the unit)  and note indicators.  Green means battery is good and memory is not full.  Amber indicates battery and memory are low but not exhausted...this is a good time to change the  battery and upload data.  Red indicates battery is expired and memory is full.  At this point, it is mandatory to change the battery and upload data.

SenseWear® Armband Size:
The business that provided the SenseWear® Armband has three sizes available -- small, medium, and large.  Bands can also be connected together if required.  Please consult your business owner for proper band size.
